Oslo Drag Festival is Norway's inaugural and sole event dedicated to drag and the Norwegian drag scene
The festival will take place for the fifth time May 30-31, 2025, at SALT Art & Music
During these two days, attendees can expect innovative, entertaining, and sometimes provocative performances and activities, including drag shows, concerts, stand-up comedy, children and youth shows, workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and more.
Featuring contributions from over 90 performing drag artists, both professionals and amateurs, the festival aims to contribute to the professionalization of the drag field, cultural exchange, and public education across diverse audience groups. We think that drag is an important form of performance art that creates safe spaces for queer expressions. The festival seeks to promote and protect queer art, fostering a home for diversity, inclusive communities, and queer experiences.
The Oslo Drag Festival Association (Foreningen Oslo Drag Festival)
Oslo Drag Festival is organized by the membership-based, volunteer-driven organization Foreningen Oslo Drag Festival. The vision and direction of the festival are shaped by its members during the Annual General Meeting. Rooted in idealistic principles, the organization operates on a non-profit basis and day-to-day operations relies entirely on volunteer efforts from Norway's drag community. To learn more about how the organization operates, read the current Association Bylaws (“Vedtekter” in Norwegian).
