ELEKTRA PUZZZ
Elektra Puzzz is a freelance dragartist, teacher and producer that started with drag in 2013 together with the other members in Princessilicious. In her artistic work with the art of drag Elektra Puzzz is on an always ongoing journey and exploration of different gender expressions. Working with creating stories in her acts, conveyed through expressions like characterwork, lipsync, audio, movement and visual effects. Elektra also has their own drag school, Oslo Dragskole ! Check it out!
Bleach Boo-Boo
Bleach Boo-Boo did her first drag show in 2004, long before both YouTube and RuPaul's Drag Race. In other words, you could say that Bleach has already become an antique in the drag world, but her age is still unknown to most. Since 2004, Bleach has performed and danced her way through a multitude of larger and smaller shows around Norway and Europe. In recent years, she has also become known as a crafty queen who almost always sews her costumes from scratch. She also became known to the public through her participation in the sewing competition show, "Symesterskapet", where she used every opportunity she could to queer up the situation. In this production, Bleach Boo-Boo has choreographed the ending group act.
Brødskive
Brødskive aka Jens Martin Hartvedt Arvesen started their Drag career in 2013 together with the others in Princessilicious. They have initiated and had a finger in many different concepts for the Queer and Drag community in Oslo. Current editions of collaborations for queer artistic infrastructure and accessibility of the arts include, but is not limited to, @karmaklubb_oslo , @oslodragfestival and @qcc_club . They are also continuously expanding and researching knowledge about drag and teaching Drag at Buskerud FHS and OsloMet. Jens Martin has a Master’s degree in Dance from Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO).
The GrimscRibe
GRIMSCRIBE is the stage sibling of drag king Briar The Vaudevillain and an evolving performance art project aimed at exploring drag through a transhuman or superhuman lens. It is born from uncomfortable dreams, muddy thoughts, fog, and a touch of sweet, dark magic. Grimscribe’s goal is to explore and find beauty in even the darkest, dirtiest, and most frightening art forms—to open itself to the world and the world to itself. Grimscribe has already appeared on stage multiple times as a burlesque-AI and has spent several years delving into themes of cyberpunk, dystopias, artificial intelligence, and the tension between machine and human. For the AI / Icons show, Grimscribe explores machines and emotions—artificial emotions, if you will (AE)—and questions what would happen if our AI-driven machines not only became intelligent but also self-aware. Would they wish to know more about themselves? Would they long to become more human? Can an android cry and laugh? In this production The Gricmscribe has made the voice over and also made the voice over´s script with Veela Voulez Vous.
CHEMOLINA
What do you get if you mix light chemotherapy with someone in desperate need of attention? A drag queen with a weird name! She is Chemolina and she's gonna slay you just as medication slayed her immune system. Chemolina is a chameleonic artist channeling her creative energy through makeup, looks and performances. She seeks to spread her artistry and inspiration to keen onlookers. Chemolina has amassed a wide scope of appearances and stages under her corset. The body of her work ranges from performance theatre, intricate lip-sync numbers to campy hosting and celebrations. She will always deliver and you never know what to expect! Chemolina has done all the grapich on this production.
Nabi Yeon Geisha
Nabi Yeon Geisha is one of the producers at Open Drag Stage, and also the producer of this show. She works at Oslo MEtropolitan University at Institute of Aesthetic Studies and have created the education program ´Art of Drag´. Here you can learn the tools to do drag! She is also part of the drag collective, Princessilicious, and the festival manager for Oslo Drag Festival. Her main artistic project is Dronningtimen, where she tells fairytales with an queer twist for the children and youth. She is looking forward to be part of this show, and hope it will create exiting and important discussions about art and AI.
Veela Voulez Vouz
Hey everyone! It's me, Veela Voulez Vous, proudly throwing my hat in the air and glitter all around for six whole years! Eliza Fierce
Eliza Fierce is an experimental Drag artist, exploring gender expressions and concepts of 'beauty'. Using visual tools such as pigment, light, fabrics, and projections, Eliza dares to break boundaries and push the perceptions of the audience, but also their prejudices and expectations. When Eliza enters the stage, you will be not only surprised, but also touched. As AI technology is more accessible for everyone to use, Eliza wanted to see how this could work in their favour without lossing their artistic crediability, AI technology will try to be used only to find different solutions, but not to create new material. Can this be done?! Stay tuned and come see this amazing Aicons show at SALT 28th of September to see how! Eliza Fierce is part of the Drag collective Princessilicious and has also been one of the crew behind Open Drag Stage (ODS) since 2017. They have since then developed a new concept through Open Drag Stage called Abjectified where everything repulsive is being celebrated and worshiped in the art of drag. In this production, Eliza Fierce is the marketing manager.
